We have had amfam for many years with no claims now that there was a auto accident that was not our fault they jacked our rates and on the claim side they keep saying they sent out checks and never do and all the medical bills that are supppose to covered dont get paid why pay for ins if they dont pay what they are suppose to pay. |

We had an accident and the other person was at fault. The car was considered a total lose. This happened almost 2 months ago and we are still waiting for the money to pay off the car. We are going to have to make a second payment on a car in the salvage yard. Thanks AMF! . |

Always had some excuse as to why our claim amount was not what was expected. It was lower than they said it would be, Depreciated roof, etc. too old of Roof, whatever. it was a hail storm!
Very Expensive premiums.
Been with them 18 years and on a new mortgage they "Said" they never recieved the insurance premium from mortgage co, but proof from Mortgage co they mailed it to correct agents address, bad part was American Family never bothered to pick up a phone and call anyone, they just let a month and a half go by while we are unisured and delequent and get late fee notices on premium.
I drop them and now they tell me I will still get a bill for the time period they insured us. They are magical with deception and fuzzy explainations on everything.
Do not use American Family insurance.. |

I was hit by a vehicle insured by American Family over 5 years ago. The other vehicle's driver was at fault and received a ticket. I received multiple injuries. American Family still has not paid any of my medical bills. I was told by American Family that I was 30% at fault for being there. If I had stayed home, I wouldn't have been hit. That is the reason given for not paying any of my bills.
Because of the accident, I lost my job, my credit rating went down the tubes, a 30 year marriage ended in divorce, I lost my home, and I am in constant pain. I am not insured by american family and never will be. If you are ever in an accident, I hope american family is not the insurer.. |

House destroyed by tennis ball sized hail. Adjuster came today and said that it wouldn't be covered as it looked like it was caused by an old storm, even though the entire neighborhood is a war zone with broken windows, etc. Be very warry of this company!. |

While quoting your insurance this is the greatest company ever. But when it comes to customer service, servicing the policy or actually following through on a claim, don't expect much. This is the WORST possible company that i have ever dealt with. After being a long term customer, we had a vandalism claim and not only did they leave my family out to dry but insulted us and treated us like dirt. Stay the heck away from them in any form possible. . |

I was a long term customer of American Family Insurance until October of 2007 when I received a call from my agent informing me that my rates were going to skyrocket based on new system criteria which ranks you purely by credit score review. I had an error on my report and I told my agent about this. He said I needed to fight the credit bureau and correct it or else I would have to pay the higher premium. I said what about the fact that I have been a loyal customer for 15 years, have never been late or missed a premium, have never filed a claim, and expected to be a lifetime customer? He said there was nothing he could do. How sad that customer loyalty means nothing to this company. Run away! I moved to Allstate. I will let you know how it goes.. |
